DELEGATES' MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
All 2017 Miss Teen Dream USA Appointed State Delegates will be required to
- Scholarship Fee: All Delegates will be required to raise their Scholarship Fee of $100 cash which will need to be brought to the Pageant Welcome & Orientation Reception on Friday, July 7, 2017. We encourage all our Delegates to raise this part of the Pageant fees via fund-raising, donations and other activities.
Please note: The Miss Teen Dream USA Pageant system DO NOT retain any part of this money. All Cash received will be awarded to the Winner of the Division as a Cash Scholarship Prize. - Volunteerism and Appearances: It is a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT for all State Delegates to perform a minimum of 3 (three) acts of community volunteerism, appearances, charitable activity or events prior to the Finals date of Friday, July 7, 2017 in the capacity as na official State Appointed Titleholder for the Miss Teen Dream USA National Pageant system. There will be no exceptions.
- Ticket Sales: Sell a minimum of $150 worth of tickets for the Miss Teen Dream USA National Pageant Event. (If you are in receipt of a Miss Teen Dream USA Financial Assistance Bursary Award FABA, then you will be required to sell an additional $50 worth of tickets to satisfy your scholarship criteria)
- Program Ad Sales: Sell a minimum of just $100 worth of Program Sales Advertising in the Miss Teen Dream Program Book. (If you are in receipt of a Miss Teen Dream USA Financial Assistance Bursary Award FABA, then you will be required to sell an additional $100 worth of advertising sales to satisfy your scholarship criteria)
- T-Shirt Purchase: All Delegates will be required to purchase their official Purchase 2017 Miss Teen Dream T-Shirts at $20 each which will be available from the Miss Teen Dream USA Store from March 17, 2017
- Opening Ceremony Gown Purchase: All Delegates will participate in the Opening Ceremony Royalty Procession and will be required to purchase their official 2017 Miss Teen Dream USA Opening Ceremony Gown. Gowns are priced at $85 for Junior and Intermediate Divisions (Teenie Tiny, Tiny Little and Little Miss) and $120 for Senior Divisions (Pre-Teen Miss, Junior Miss, Miss and Ms.)
- Hair Bow Purchase: Delegates participating in the Teenie Tiny Miss and Tiny Little Miss only will be required to purchase hair bows at the cost of $10 each. This will be available from the Miss Teen Dream USA Store from March 15, 2017.
- Crowning The New 2018 Queen: All crowned 2017 Miss Teen Dream USA Queens will be required to return to the 2018 National Pageant to crown the new Queen.
- Non-Exclusivity: Winners of the 2017 MISS TEEN DREAM USA PAGEANT 2016 are not required to sign an exclusive Contract and are free to participate in any other Pageant or activity.

This Competition will be based on a separate photograph submission that reflect the Delegate's warmth and naturally beautiful smile. Please do not submit retouched photographs as they will be disqualified and not submitted. This competition will be judged in advance by a Judges Panel.

RECIPIENT'S OBLIGATIONS
All Bursary recipients will need to comply with the following criteria to maintain their financial assistance:-
* Delegates will need to sell an additional $50 worth of event tickets and $100 advertising space in the Miss Teen Dream USA National Pageant Program
*Delegates will have to continue to maintain their grade point averages for the
duration of the year until the end of 2017
*Delegates will be required to undergo 6 hours of community services of their choice. Proof of service will be required.
*Delegates will have to show a diligence, appreciation and enthusiasm about being an awards recipient.

We also have the pleasure of launching our official 2017 MISS TEEN DREAM USA APPOINTED DELEGATES PAGE. This page is which is solely dedicated to profile and highlighting our wonderful Delegates and promoting their participation as Appointed Titleholders for our Pageant system.
To facilitate launching the webpage, we will need all Delegates to supply the following information:-
- Bio - Your Miss Teen Dream USA bio should be supplied in Word format only and can contain interesting, fun, informative and also your aspirations as to why you wish to become our next Miss Teen Dream USA.
- Photographs - As you all have your Miss Teen Dream USA Royal Regalia, we would like to ask that you supply us with a professionally-taken full color photograph wearing an evening gown, your official 20167 Miss Teen Dream USA State Banner and Crown taken on a brilliant white background only. Please see suggestion attached. Your photos should be full length, three-quarter length and a head shot. Make-up should be natural and within our Pageant remit to exemplify our ethos. We would recommend that you send us photos of you in a variety of poses and also moods (smiling, serious, fun, etc) so we can have lots of choose from.
- Video Clips - We will also be featuring video clips of all our Delegates so, in order to do so, we would like you to record a short 2-minute video clips about yourself!
- It will be mandatory for you to wear your official Sash and Crown in the clips but, if you want to add and mix your showreel to depict you without your royal regalia that it fine too! The easier way for you to supply your finished showreels is to upload it to YouTube and then email us the YouTube URL for us to convert.
PLANNING YOUR MISS TEEN DREAM USA APPOINTED TITLEHOLDER'S EVENT CALENDAR, APPEARANCES & ENGAGEMENTS.
In the capacity as a Delegate for the Miss Teen Dream USA National Natural pageant system, it will be a mandatory requirement for you to carry out a minimum of 3 (three) social, charitable, acts of volunteerism or various social events, appearances and engagements to promote your Title, platform and, of course, the pride of being an Appointed Delegate as a Representative for your home State!
We've been speaking with some of the Delegates and Moms who are having a GREAT time planning amazing events and activities and the advice that we have given is that you select one day in the week - maybe a Sunday afternoon when it's nice and quiet - have a look online, in our local papers or other "what's on" media sources and select events that you would like to plan your engagements.
Also, please find below other activities that might be helpful too:-
VERY IMPORTANT: For the security of our Delegates, it is imperative that you inform the offices of MISS TEEN DREAM USA of all engagements that are booked by email missteendreamusa@gmail.com on a weekly basis so we can validate any inquiries from the public with regards to your activities and also place it onto our calendar too!
AND REMEMBER..... HAVE LOTS OF FUN and don't forget to take LOTS AND LOTS OF PHOTOS TOO for your
MISS TEEN DREAM USA SCRAPBOOK which you can bring with you to the Pageant to share with the other Delegates too!

- We also would love for you to contact your local Governor or State Representative to arrange a photo call,
- Set up an interview with your local radio station or newspaper to arrange an interview,
- liaise with local hospital, library, school, daycare or senior center to see if you can come in and read/entertain or assist in any way
- Visit your local police department and fire service to arrange a tour of their facilities
- Contact the organizers of any local school or professional sporting events (baseball, football, basketball, soccer, cheering, etc.,) to offer your services to hand out awards, photo calls or sing the National Anthem

SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES
Social media is now definitely an intrinsic part of most people's lives! We really do rely on social media and the internet to keep us abreast with developments within our community, our friends and activities as well as opening up the window to the entire World and its "antics!"
Being on social media demands great responsibility and intuitiveness.
At times, you have to be discerning as to know what is "FACT" and what is "FICTION" and also have the tenacity to develop a "knowledgeable" and curious nature as to delve deeper to seek out the truth!
Not EVERYTHING out there is real and, it is with this in mind, that I address the facets of Social media.
Of course, it will be vitally important for all our MISS TEEN DREAM USA DELEGATES to create Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts so that you can promote your Appointed Titles, activities, goals and dreams! We are so lucky to live in an age where information can be so freely exchanged and given. However, this can be a very difficult balancing act as the same power that is used to BUILD UP can also be used TO DESTROY!
Many lives - young and old - have been destroyed by the maliciousness and vulgarity of people who abuse the internet and make other people's lives a misery! Bullying, victimization, taunts and attacking on an individuals persona can be worst than physical abuse. These are the scars that you DON'T see visibly with the naked eye! Believe me.... I've been there! So this is the reason why I am so passionate about DOING THE RIGHT THING with regards to your presence out there IN THE WORLD!!
We would love all our Delegates to be able to use social media in an uplifting, elevating and inspirational way ONLY! No gossiping! No random remarks! No "off the cuff" statements that can come back to "Bite" and definitely no posting of "duck face" photos in the bedroom or some other location of you looking "cute". Being the Titleholder of this Representation holds great responsibility as you are the WINDOW to our organization.
A little story that I would like to tell is ..... my 9-year old grand-daughter, Hannah, came to stay with us last summer from the UK where they don't have many Pageants and was enthralled by the pageant environment and was eager to experience one for herself. So we went ahead, booked a pageant that we saw advertised in Atlanta, purchased a beautiful gown and started preparation for Hannah's debut!! I said to Hannah, "I'm going to give you a short amount of time to think about potential answers to questions that you might be asked on-stage about why you want to be in a Pageant". She looked at me and said "Okay Grandma!!" and scampered off to jot ideas down. We returned about 35 minutes later and asked her the question and this, to our utter surprise, was her response:
“It is NOT about the Crown or the Sash
but it is about the Elegance, the Poise and the Integrity that your Title stands for!”
Well, we were in SHOCK!! Hannah had summed up the entire ethos of MISS TEEN DREAM USA in one sentence!
We now use this as our motto because it rings so true!
So, here we go....! Tips on how to create your social media pages!
1. If you are 18 years or under, then it will be IMPERATIVE that your parent has full rights and access to your site.
2. We actively encourage the parents to, in tandem with their daughter no matter WHAT AGE, administer, vet, scrutinize, inspect and indeed, report any foul play, activities or "shady individuals" that you might come into contact with.
3. When creating your page, make sure that you put the Prefix "MTDUSA" before your name to discern that this is not a personal page.
4. Where possible, create your page as a Public Figure. Once again, this will deter family or friends being a part of this narrative.
5. ONLY post things that are encouraging and uplifting with regards to your Appointed Titleholder's position.
6. NEVER NEVER get involved with any conversation or scenario that is toxic, detrimental, narrow-minded, malicious or salacious or politically charged in nature. This could easily pull you into scandalous conversations that may tarnish your reputation and standing as well as make you feel terrible too!
7. Only post positive images of you in your Miss Teen Dream USA regalia and wear it WITH PRIDE! Yes, we ARE a new Pageant system but we will rely on the loving, enthusiastic and tenacious spirits of our MISS TEEN DREAM USA PIONEERS to be the voice, hearts and mind of what we stand for and our "uniqueness". From small acorns GREAT OAKS GROW! (smile!)
8. Be VERY DISCERNING and SHREW when making friends with ANYONE on the internet! There are so many "wolves in sheep's clothing"!! If in doubt, please contact myself personally and I will vet the individual for you!
9. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE should you EVER post on social media your forthcoming engagements or WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO BE! Only post images, messages and other details AFTER the event. We need to ensure that you are kept completely safe at all levels and at all times!

Being on social media demands great responsibility and intuitiveness.
At times, you have to be discerning as to know what is "FACT" and what is "FICTION" and also have the tenacity to develop a "knowledgeable" and curious nature as to delve deeper to seek out the truth!
Not EVERYTHING out there is real and, it is with this in mind, that I address the facets of Social media.
Of course, it will be vitally important for all our MISS TEEN DREAM USA DELEGATES to create Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts so that you can promote your Appointed Titles, activities, goals and dreams! We are so lucky to live in an age where information can be so freely exchanged and given. However, this can be a very difficult balancing act as the same power that is used to BUILD UP can also be used TO DESTROY!
Many lives - young and old - have been destroyed by the maliciousness and vulgarity of people who abuse the internet and make other people's lives a misery! Bullying, victimization, taunts and attacking on an individuals persona can be worst than physical abuse. These are the scars that you DON'T see visibly with the naked eye! Believe me.... I've been there! So this is the reason why I am so passionate about DOING THE RIGHT THING with regards to your presence out there IN THE WORLD!!
We would love all our Delegates to be able to use social media in an uplifting, elevating and inspirational way ONLY! No gossiping! No random remarks! No "off the cuff" statements that can come back to "Bite" and definitely no posting of "duck face" photos in the bedroom or some other location of you looking "cute". All Delegates will be required to sell a minimum of $150 worth of tickets for the event. These tickets can be made up of any combination of tickets you would like. (FABA Scholarship recipients will be required to sell an additional $50 to satisfy their Scholarship criteria)
ADDITIONAL PERKS
For each Delegate who sells over and above their minimum requirements, there will be an additional 3 (three) points added to their overall score.
Tickets MUST be made in advance and no later than SATURDAY, JULY 1, 2017.
There will also be a Sash and Certificate to the Delegate who has achieved the highest sales.

By submitting the Registration to the MISS TEEN DREAM USA PAGEANT, you are agreeing to the following below:
The MISS TEEN DREAM USA Competition is based on Natural Beauty, overall stage presence and personality.
ALL CONTACT with the MISS TEEN DREAM USA PAGEANT must be made by a PARENT or LEGAL GUARDIAN for any girl wishing to take part in the Pageant and correspondence will only be made with said parent or guardian.
Miss Teen Dream USA, its directors, associates, or any other personnel associated with the Pageant will not be held responsible for the loss of personal items, injury, theft, or illness. We will have permission to use the photographs taken at the Pageant for publicity, promotional and for use on our website, publicity and any other media and promotional material. Judges decisions are final. Any Contestant, relative or guest displaying sportsman-like, crude or unsavory behavior will be disqualified and monies will not be refunded. All use of photography or video filming is prohibited by any person in attendance.
All video and photography will be reproduced in a reputable and discerning and refined manner. All returned checks will incur a $35 fee. On completing this online Registration, you are agreeing to the regulations and agreement of MISS TEEN DREAM USA and will do what is necessary to observe our statues. In the event that this is not adhered to, then, unfortunately, the Finalist will be disqualified and any prizes awarded will be returned forthwith to THE MISS TEEN DREAM USA PAGEANT immediately. You also understand that all Registration and Additional Optional Category Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE should you wish to no longer take part in the Pageant.
